Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center Announces New Season Line Up

The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center will feature a variety of musical acts for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

The eclectic lineup of musicians and performers includes R&B group 98 Degrees, rock band America, a Moana Sing-Along, and performances by Christopher Titus.

Lindsay Gambini, director of the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center, arranged the season’s schedule to bring thrilling performances to the community.

“We are very excited about the PAC’s new season, which has something for people of all ages to enjoy right here in the Santa Clarita Valley,” Gambini said. “If you have never attended a performance at the PAC before, we welcome you to see one of our exciting shows this season.”

In addition to this season’s bill, College of the Canyons theater, music and dance departments will also host a variety of shows, along with other community group performances.

Santa Clarita residents will have the opportunity to experience an assortment of internationally acclaimed acts and artists, brought together by the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center.

Highlighting the 2018-19 Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center schedule are performances by:

  • Country music singer songwriter CAM— Aug. 19, 2018
  • Christopher Titus in “Amerigeddon” — Sept. 16, 2018
  • Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium — Oct. 20, 2018
  • Chart-topping pop and contemporary R&B group 98 Degrees— Nov. 16, 2018
  • Disney’s “Moana” Sing-Along— Feb. 9, 2019
  • Classic rock band America— March 30, 2019

Other acts and artists visiting the PAC this season include:

Chinese Warriors of Peking; Villalobos Brothers & Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles; Peter Gros, Wildlife Expert and Co-host of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom; Catapult; Jazz singer Veronica Swift, and Ann Hampton Callaway & Liz Callaway in “Sibling Revelry.”

Ticket sales are expected to be available for entertainment seekers starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28.

Santa Clarita residents will have the option to purchase Santa Clarita PAC series ticket packages beginning 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26.

About Gilbert Bernal

Gilbert A. Bernal Jr. has been part of the KHTS video department since Jan 2017. He was hired as video editor in June 2017 after his four-month internship in the video department. While serving as a video intern, his duties were extended to become a multimedia journalist, producing news videos for KHTS News and Features. Gilbert was added to the KHTS team as part of the station’s continued growth and expansion. An Army veteran, father and local artist Gilbert has dedicated time and energy to volunteering at schools in the Santa Clarita Valley. At Pinetree Community Elementary School, in Canyon Country, Gilbert donated art for school auctions, photographed events and painted murals. At Canyon High, he gave two art demonstrations for the “Yes I Can” organization, a peer counseling class that focuses on learning about disabilities, social inclusion, and tolerance. Starting in Feb 2017 Gilbert launched the “KHTS Man On the Street” video features which gather and reports local opinion of Santa Clarita residents on current issues or events. A return student at College of the Canyons since 2014, Gilbert has been apart of the Media Entertainment Arts department working as a college assistant. After enrolling into the film program in 2014, he was hired to work in the camera equipment room (The Cage). There he helps students with film equipment rentals and technical advice. Gilbert received his associates degree in Film Production from College of the Canyons in 2017. He is continuing his educational path and plans to attend CSUN in Fall 2018 to work for a Bachelor's degree in Film.
