“I heard about the story of Mr. Zimmerman finding a donor for himself,” said Andres. “My family has been affected by kidney disease for many years. My brother and sister both need a kidney donor.”

Andres’ brother, who moved to Texas to be on a shorter waiting list for a kidney, has been on dialysis for over three years waiting for a donor. He travels to do the dialysis five days a week, and each session takes hours. He had to have his kidneys removed a year ago because the cysts had gotten so big, he had no more room in his stomach.
If you think you might be willing to donate, call the testing line at 1-888-393-3986 and let them know it’s for Steve Pozza or Cathy Pozza, all testing is free.
Polycystic kidney disease runs rampant in Andres’ family, including her father.
“My dad had a transplant when he was 55 in 1989 and we were blessed to have him in our lives for another 15 years,” said Andres.
Andres’ sister started dialysis a little over a year ago and does dialysis four times a week. Doctors are considering removing her kidneys completely because the cysts are growing very fast.
Those who think they could help by donating a kidney can email Mary Andres here: tandma74@aol.com.

Rather than having all types of people respond who aren’t eligible, wouldn’t it be more efficient to list which type of people are most likely to match?
I agree with the above statement, how would we know if we could help, Im a 52 year old male that would consider if we knew more.
Ed. Note: The story has been edited to add the number to call to find out how to tell if you might be a good match.
