The survey is part of the city’s transportation development plan, which addresses the transportation needs of the Santa Clarita Valley, both now and across the next 10 years, according to city officials.
“It includes an analysis of the city’s three transit modes: local fixed-route, commuter fixed-route and demand-response,” officials said in a statement about the new survey.
The plan seeks to provide access to new routes, programs, services and policies, according to officials.
The survey can be found here.
With more people working and living in Santa Clarita, transportation options are needed to better reflect the needs of residents, visitors and commuters, according to officials.
This project represents an update to the city’s prior plan completed in 2013 and seeks to develop an effective new plan, providing information through public meetings and seeking input from the community.
The city will assess the information gathered from the survey to create the new transportation development plan, which is set to be completed and presented at a public hearing for adoption by the Santa Clarita City Council in early 2019.
