“The chamber is pleased to endorse a group of candidates for office which we feel best represents the business interests of the Santa Clarita Valley,” said Troy Hooper, chairman of the board for the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We appreciated the diversity of voices, breadth of new ideas, fresh thoughts and leadership displayed by those running for office. We were diligent in our review of candidate positions and business values when making our endorsements.”
The chamber did not endorse candidates in every race on the Nov. 6 ballot, according to officials, but the bipartisan committee of chamber members chose candidates who best represent the business interests of the Santa Clarita Valley.
“The chamber encourages everyone to register to vote and to get out to vote on Election Day,” said John Musella, the chamber’s acting executive director. “If you have moved or are unsure of your registration, now is the time to get registered to vote.”
