Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies have released the crime reports for the week of August 3rd-August 9th.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a domestic feud between a husband and wife in Canyon Country Saturday afternoon.

The woman who gave birth in the Santa Clara river wash Monday morning and allegedly abandoned the baby has been charged with a misdemeanor, Sheriff’s officials said Thursday.

Two women were allegedly robbed at gunpoint last week in the Promenade At Town Center Apartments.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies and California Highway Patrol officers were involved in a stolen vehicle pursuit Monday morning and found more than 1,650 gallons of stolen diesel fuel.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a report of trespassing and possible burglary Tuesday night in Canyon Country.

An attempted kidnapping suspect, who was arrested one day after he was booked on a misdemeanor burglary charge, pleaded not guilty at his second arraignment on Thursday, District Attorney’s officials said Thursday.

Canyon Country East

A robbery occurred near the 19300 block of Golden Valley Rd., Canyon Country.  One suspect selected numerous items and placed them into her shopping cart.  The suspect then went to the cash register, paid for some of the store items in the shopping cart, and then exited the location with the unpaid merchandise still in her shopping cart.  When the suspect was approached by a loss prevention officer outside of the location, the suspect pushed the loss prevention officer and fled the location.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 30000 block of Sand Canyon Rd., Canyon Country.  Suspect(s) unknown shattered the victim’s passenger side window and stole his car stereo.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 26800 block of Cherry Willow Dr., Canyon Country.  Suspect(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s locked garage by way of a side entry door.  Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

An attempt burglary occurred near the 18100 block of Flynn Dr., Canyon Country.  Suspect(s) unknown attempted to force entry into the victim’s residence by way of the front door.

A petty theft occurred near the 16500 block of Soledad Cyn. Rd., Canyon Country.  The store manager reviewed store video surveillance footage and observed one suspect exit the location with the shopping basket containing store merchandise. The suspect made no attempts to pay for the store items. The suspect fled the location in a vehicle.

A petty theft occurred near the 18200 block of Soledad Cyn Rd., Canyon Country.  One suspect entered the location and selected a beer from a display cooler.  The suspect exited the location making no attempts to pay for the store item.

A grand theft occurred near Lost Cyn. Rd. / La Veda Ave. in Canyon Country.  Suspect(s) unknown stole numerous items from a construction site.

A grand theft occurred near the 18000 block of Jakes Way, Canyon Country.  Suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle parked at the location.

A grand theft occurred near Deana Lane / Sara Lane in Canyon Country.  Suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle while parked in front of the indicated location.

Canyon Country West

An attempt robbery occurred near the 19100 block of Soledad Canyon Road.  The suspect entered a business near the above location and selected a store display item.  The suspect then made her way toward the store exit making no attempt to pay for the item.  An employee of the location contacted the suspect and grabbed the stolen property while the suspect was still in possession of it.  A small struggle ensued over the property and the suspect ultimately dropped it.  The suspect walked out of the store and out of view.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.

A grand theft auto occurred near the 26800 block of Neff Court.  Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle which was parked near the above location.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.

A grand theft auto occurred near the intersection of Isabella Parkway and Aurora Lane.  Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle from in front of his residence.  A day later, the vehicle was located in Arizona by Phoenix Police Department.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.

 

Newhall

On Thursday, August 6, 2015, an apartment was burglarized in the 21300 block of Nandina Lane.  A glass door was shattered to get in.  Cash and personal items were stolen.

On Sunday, August 9, 2015, at 4:00 a.m., a person known to the resident broke into a house in the 24700 block of Walnut Street.  The suspect was confronted by the resident and fled out the window he had entered from.

On Wednesday, August 5, 2015, between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., an adult female with blonde hair took a  boy’s black colored bike from a residence in the 24200 block of Race Street.

On Sunday, August 9, 2015, at 4:30 a.m., a resident in the 25100 block of Vermont Drive saw an adult female with blonde hair searching through his unlocked vehicle.  He confronted the female and she fled on foot, leaving behind her silver bicycle.

Saugus

A residential burglary was reported near the 21400 block of Peggy Joyce Lane. In this incident, the suspect entered the victim’s open garage and stole a trauma medical bag, medical box, iPad and a garage door opener.

There was a residential burglary reported near the 29200 block of Las Brisas Road. The suspect pried open the garage door from the bottom. The suspect entered the home and went through several rooms. The victim was unsure if anything was taken.

A vehicle burglary was reported near the 24700 block of Haskell Canyon Road. The victim’s vehicle had no signs of forced entry. The suspect stole an iPod, Samsung tablet, hookah pens, car charger and miscellaneous keys.

A vehicle burglary was reported near the 28700 block of Garnet Canyon Drive. The suspect shattered the driver’s side window to gain entry. The victim’s wallet was taken along with $1500 US currency. The victim saw the suspect in his truck and was described as a white male, between 17-19 years old. The suspect escaped on a mini bike towards Gold Canyon Road.

A battery occurred near the 21000 block of Susan Carole Drive. The victim was assaulted by his ex-girlfriend’s father and another male suspect. This case is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.

Stevenson Ranch

A grand theft auto occurred on the 25400 block of The Old Rd.  Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle which was parked and secured at the above location.

A grand theft auto occurred on the 24900 block of The Old Rd.  Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s U-Haul rental and a U-Haul rental auto trailer which was towing the victim’s vehicle.

A petty theft (shoplifting) occurred on the 25400 block of The Old Rd.  A female adult attempted to leave the location with items she did not pay for.  She was arrested for petty theft.

A burglary occurred on the 24900 block of The Old Rd.  Person(s) unknown pried the rear door open of his R/V trailer and stole a “Bose” speaker, a “Jensen” 40 in. television, and various other items.

A theft by credit card / vandalism / mail theft occurred on the 25900 block of Verandah Ct.  Person(s) unknown pried open the rear door of the victim’s mailbox and stole his mail.  The victim stated he later learned that $1,220 was charged on his credit card which was also stolen from his mailbox.

Valencia

An armed robbery occurred near the 25000 block of Magic Mountain Parkway.  An unknown suspect (possibly male Asian) approached the victim and pointed a black handgun at her and demanded her purse.  The victim, believing the suspect was going to harm her complied and gave the suspect everything she had on her.

An armed robbery occurred near the 24900 block of Magic Mountain Parkway.  An unknown suspect (Possibly male Asian with green eyes) approached the victim and pointed a hand gun at her and demanded her purse.  The victim, fearing for her safety, complied and gave the suspect her purse and got on the ground, looking away from the suspect.

A burglary occurred near the 27000 block of Victoria Lane.  An unknown suspect entered the victim’s apartment and stole her jewelry. The suspect entered the residence through her rear door by shattering her window.

A burglary occurred near the 28000 block of Newhall Ranch Road.  A male suspect was arrested from the location for failing to pay for items he had on his possession as he exited the store.

A grand theft occurred near the intersection of Bayside Lane and Bridgeport Lane.  An unknown suspect cut and removed a back flow valve from the location.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 26000 block of Avenue Hall.  An unknown suspect broke into four different vehicles which were parked at the location.   Miscellaneous tool and items were stole from each vehicle. The suspect shattered the windows to the victim’s vehicles which was the point of entry.

A vehicle theft occurred near the 23200 block of Sherwood Place.   The victim had his 2011 Hyundai Elantra stolen from the location.  The vehicle was parked and left locked at the location.

A petty theft occurred near the 26900 block of Town Center Drive.  An unknown suspect stole the victim’s bicycle which was being stored at the complex in the garage area.  The steel cable used to secure the bicycle was cut as well
