The City of Santa Clarita will host a public meeting to discuss the design of the new Central Park Tennis Center from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Highlands Elementary School, located at 27332 Catalda Avenue, officials said in a news release..

Residents are invited to attend the public meeting to provide input on the new Tennis Center project, which is included as part of Phase IV of the approved Central Park Master Plan. The project will feature eight to 12 lighted tennis courts, restroom facilities, additional parking, a lighted ADA-accessible walkway to the Central Bark dog park and lighting for the dog park.

Interested community members are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about the project from the Project Manager and offer feedback.

“Central Park is one of the most distinct spaces in the City of Santa Clarita’s park system, and a popular location for a variety of sports and recreation,” said Mayor Marsha McLean.  “The Central Park Tennis Center project will help us realize a long-held goal for the park by developing a state-of-the-art tennis facility for residents of all ages and experience levels.”

The Central Park Tennis Center Design project is part of Santa Clarita 2020 which is designed to provide information and involve residents in shaping the future of the City of Santa Clarita.
