The fight took place at approximately 9 p.m. in the In N’ Out and Lowes parking lot on Bouquet Canyon Rd.

Multiple videos have surfaced since the fight took place last Friday, taken and published from one of the dozens of phones filming the street brawl.

“We are aware of the incident that happened off campus,” said Dave Cadwell, spokesperson for the William S. Hart District. ” Anytime we see students engage in an altercation it is a concern, as student and staff safety is our number 1 priority. ”

We are taking appropriate actions internally in an effort to keep these types of incidents from happening, added Cadwell.

The boy who appears to receive a number of blows to the head in the video, was then loaded into one witness’s car, and then taken to the nearby Central Park.

From the parking lot of Central Park, an ambulance was called to an “assault with head injury.” First responders then took the victim to Henry Mayo Newhall hospital due to head trauma.

As of Tuesday afternoon, no arrests have been made yet by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, stating that the incident was a situation of “mutual combat.”

  1. Are you freakin kidding me? This video disturbs me on so many levels!! Time to take action Hart District!

  2. These kids are cowards and lack the backbone & integrity to step in and stop a fight. Instead standing and watching, they are equally guilty as the two fighting. Charges should be filed.

  3. Wow Signal!! Did you really have to publish the video??
Again, anything to sell a story!!

  4. There you have it ladies and gentlemen, your precious “best hope” for our future on full display! All you parents whose kids witnessed, participated, video taped or even knew this senseless and brutal fight was going to happen and did nothing to stop it should be so proud. Can’t blame this one on “outsiders” or gangs; no, this is home grown SCV bulls#*! Awesome Town indeed.

  5. I would like to know why my comment critical of these kids and their senseless act of brutality has been censored? It appears that any criticism aimed at SCV as a whole is not tolerated, why? Unless we as a community and a society are willing and able to face our ugly truths, we can never make progress to improve. Stop censoring community members comments that are neither insulting, harmful or profanity filled. While my previous comment did not blindly support the myth of “Awesome Town,” it does/did represent a vital and necessary voice of concern. Your need to censor is as deeply troubling as those morons who beat up a fellow student and proudly posted it to social media.

  6. Stupid kids! But who are the stupid parents of these two boys? Those boys should both be charged, better yet, expelled from school and beat by the police! And over a girl too? I can’t.

  7. Shouldn’t be too difficult to find the assailant…he’s wearing a school football jersey with his number on it. He should be kicked off the football team… team members need to present themselves in a positive way as representatives of their school.

  8. 9pm off Campus on private property…how does that make the School District in any way responsible for this event?

The younger generation is so experienced with technology that they could not figure out how to dial 911 versus hitting the record button on their phones?

Don’t really think its fair to blame the parents on this one earthier…at least for the two involved in the fight. But I can agree with better parenting on how to handle a situation when you come upon something like this. Recording it after dialing 911 would have made much more sense as the video can be very helpful in the event that criminal charges are filed or Civil action is filed.

I also agree that the video should have been posted, as it lets the parents know what type of things can take place while your son or daughter is out and about with friends. Hope the one teen makes a full recovery and that both boys and all who witnessed the event have learned something and will make better choices in the future.

    • Number 52 jersey wearing football player should be arrested for assault, period. And yes, where are his parents and what kind of teaching are they giving him? How to bully other boys? They should be ashamed of themselves. And they should pay for all the medical bills for the boy he brutalized. I hope that boy’s parents lawyer up real soon and sue them to holy heaven.

  9. “either” rather than earthier…my apologies for the grammatical error.

  10. The kids should be punished not only the ones fighting also the ones were watching

  11. I blame the parents and the internet. Parents are not teaching their kids how to be respectful or about manners they are learning everything online these day and its pretty nasty in the web. Say no to internet for kids

  12. Jodie Foster starred in “true” movie (“The Accused”) where she was gang raped. Those who did not step in to try to stop it (and cheered the rapers on) were tried and convicted for that. So why shouldn’t these children face charge or some kind of discipline.

The real question is: Are we doing enough to work with children with uncontrollable rage BEFORE they kill someone.

When we first moved to Santa Clarita 35 years ago, there were only 88,000 people here. Too many for the infrastructure at the time, so more gridlock. Sure, there was road rage, but not as much as we see now. But its all connected. The violence we see in the above video easily evolves to other settings unless we catch it when it occurs and work to change it.

  13. Mark my words, nothing is going to come of this…

Something is wrong with the world today. It happens in every community of every social class. Don’t be soo shocked. Check out WorldStarHipHop.com if this is something new to you. Unfortunately, its far too common…

  14. To be a police officer in Japan, you have to have a black belt in one of the Martial Arts. Stationed in Okinawa, if there’s a fight with a crowd cheering them on, the police come out with sticks. They hit everyone there and everyone goes to jail. If we had a system like that, would anyone repeat this situation?

  15. Everyone that was there should be suspended. And not be aloud to participate in any extra school activities. Shame on them for watching, putting it on social media and not intervening to stop it. The aggressor should be expelled !!
I know nothing bad happens in SCV, but we as parents need to call the school and the district office and make sure something is done to everyone involved, except the one with the concussion. We need to stand together as a community and not let the school and the school district sweep this under the rug. If nothing is done then it will just keep happening until someone is seriously hurt.
