On April 7, the Santa Clarita Valley Bicycle Coalition is scheduled to hold a bike ride through the San Francisquito Creek Trail.
The route is approximately five miles long, and is a flat, beginner-level ride that includes the San Francisquito Creek Trail and a visit to Bridgeport Park, according to officials.

“This ride is perfect for the beginner/novice rider and takes place entirely on paved, dedicated bike paths, completely separate from street traffic,” said a statement from the ride’s Eventbrite webpage.
Halfway through the ride, participants will stop a Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders for a brief snack break. The riders will then complete the loop to end the route.
“Aside from hosting the Tour of California bicycle race nearly every year since it started, Santa Clarita is probably best known among bicyclists for its network of dedicated bicycle paths and paseos,” the ride’s webpage says.
The event is scheduled for from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants have been told to meet at the trailhead of the Chuck Pontius Commuter Rail Trail near the McDonalds in the Promenade Shopping Center, located at 27095 McBean Parkway.
