“What goes on in Sacramento has a tremendous impact, good and bad, on our business sector,” said Wilk. “Promoting policies that encourage investment in our state or stopping the ones that don’t is how we ensure mortgage-paying jobs stay in California.”

According to the CalChamber legislative scorecard, Wilk often voted in agreement with the chamber, placing him in the upper rank of “80 percent or more with CalChamber.”

Since his election to the Assembly in 2012, Wilk has consistently ranked among the chamber’s top-scoring legislators, according to officials.

The chamber tracks about 3,000 legislative proposals each year on behalf of California employers, fighting bills that negatively affect business and promoting proposals that stimulate California’s economy and create jobs, according to officials.

At the conclusion of each legislative year, the organization issues a scorecard identifying key legislation and the action taken on it by both the Senate and the Assembly.

CalChamber is the largest business advocacy group in California, representing firms of all sizes and companies from almost every industry within the state, according to the website.

More than one quarter of California’s private sector jobs are from the 14,000 California businesses represented by the chamber, according to officials.

  1. He needs to be replaced for taking a stand for non citizens to receive funding for business as well as purchasing homes instead of standing for Americans! Ppl like Wilks is the problem in Ca! It’s the very reason that all South Americans flock to Ca. When is the last time you heard American Citizens have the right to????? That’s right replace all of these democrats with some common sense Republicans Nov 6 or continue to give up your rights 1 at a time!

  2. Why don’t you do some BASIC research before you start spouting idiotic lies and fake arguments.. Not every LEGAL IMMIGRANT is a citizen. It takes years of ESTABLISHED LEGAL RESIDENCY to become eligible for citizenship. You’re just another racist bigot who does nothing but repeat the lies you hear from Rush Limbaugh and Fox network.
