“He was beautiful,” Wyatt’s mother, Teresa Savaikie, said in an interview with SCVNews. “We are so honored to have had the privilege of having him in our lives, as our Gentle Giant, our precious son.”

Wyatt’s burial and celebration of life will follow the service.

His burial will be at Eternal Valley Memorial Park located at 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321.

His celebration of life will be held at 28653 Lapine Avenue, Saugus, CA, 91390.

Wyatt’s favorite color was purple; his family has encouraged people to wear whatever color they are comfortable wearing.

Everything is open to the public

Wyatt is survived by his mother, Teresa; his father, Michael; and a 20-year-old sister and an 18-year-old brother.

“May the man that killed my son find comfort in his family,” Teresa Savaikie said.

Wyatt would have been a freshman at Valencia High School in the fall.

A fundraising website, a Go Fund Me page and a Meal Train page have been set up to help cover funeral expenses for Wyatt.

The website was set up by family friend Kevin Bonn, who says in a YouTube video that Wyatt was struck and killed by a 78-year-old man who ran a red light.

  1. I see the amount requested went from 50k to 20k. Does it cost 20k for a funeral? I also saw someone who was willing to donate a casket. 20k seems very excessive.

    • I spoke too soon, there are 2 pages, one requesting 50k and one requesting 20k. It is a total tragedy, however, let’s not get greedy.

      • I agree with Ashley. They have over $25K already, plus dinners for over a month. Funerals cost around $5K.

      • Katie and Ashley just an FYI it doesn’t cost 5k for a funeral. I buried my 7yo daughter 5 months ago and it was about 19k which doesn’t include the cost of a headstone. Not to mention the cost of other finances that the family are unable to take care of during thier time of grief.
