Wyatt’s mother, Teresa Savaikie described Wyatt as a “Gentle Giant and her “rock” in an interview with SCV News.

Wyatt was a kid who loved skateboarding, playing soccer and X-box, who hated spaghetti and loved pizza, said Teresa Savaikie in an interview with SCV News.

“He was beautiful,” Wyatt’s mother, Teresa Savaikie, said in an interview with SCV News. “We are so honored to have had the privilege of having him in our lives, as our Gentle Giant, our precious son.”

“I have heard the ‘gentle giant’ term used before to describe blue whales as the gentle giants of the ocean. Quiet, unassuming, living their lives in the deep blue sea, drifting around the world,” said Kris Kelso, production manager for SCVTV in a post on SCV News. “It sounds like a dream, but for the people who encounter these gentle giants, they leave an impression that will never be forgotten.”

Wyatt would have been a freshman at Valencia High School in the fall.

“May the man that killed my son find comfort in his family,” Teresa Savaikie said.

Wyatt is survived by his mother, Teresa; his father, Michael; his 20-year-old sister and his 18-year-old brother.

A fundraising website, a Go Fund Me page and a Meal Train page have been set up to help aid the family of Wyatt Savaikie.

The website was set up by family friend Kevin Bonn, who says in a YouTube video that Wyatt was struck and killed by a 78-year-old man who ran a red light.

The Go Fund Me page and the Meal Train page was set up by family friend for over 15 years, Tricia Guardado- Cascione.

“I have people who have never met the family donating and friends on vacation out of the country seeing we need help and taking time out if their vacation to donate,” said Guardado- Cascione.

Meal Train is a website that offers community members a chance to help provide meals to grieving families.
