Deputy Drake and Deputy Parra rescued a 1-month old baby and a 2-year-old child out of a hot car, said SCV Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Shirley Miller.

The mother of the two children accidentally locked her keys in the car, said Miller.

Drake used a lockout tool to get the children out of the car, which allowed access without breaking the windows, Miller said.

The children were in the car for approximately 15 minutes before being rescued, according to Miller.
