JCI Santa Clarita has joined forces with Henry Mayo Fitness and Health, 24/7 Events and Surfaces USA to provide drop-off locations for donations for firefighters who have been battling the Sand Fire which erupted in Santa Clarita Friday and has since spread to more than 33,000 acres.

The donation services are scheduled to go into effect until July 31, said Sharlene Duzick, member services director at Henry Mayo Fitness & Health.

The donations began bagan Friday among JCI chapters and expanded to the community, said Duzick.

“It started to grow and grow so we were like why don’t we engage the community and bring the best out in the community to support those that are taking care of our friends and family,” Duzick said.
