“The Doggie Director,” hosted by Steven Ritt, will be airing on KHTS Radio this Saturday at 11 a.m. for the Santa Clarita Valley’s animal lovers.

“People need to know how to train their dogs with love,” said Ritt, “and not to believe everything they hear about dog training, because sometimes it’s not beneficial to the dog or you.”

Since the age of 17, Ritt has expanded his expertise in dog behavior and training for families, Hollywood shows and movies, commercials and music videos.

The Doggie Director was inspired to become an animal trainer at a young age since his family owned exotic pets growing up.

Ritt pursued his childhood dream after leaving his hometown in Minnesota and attending the Greater Phoenix Dog Training Academy at age 17.

The academy taught him animal obedience, behavioral modification and protection training.

His journey with Hollywood animal actors began shortly after graduating.

Ritt developed the “Ritt Way,” a successful strategic plan to training pets with love, respect and positive reinforcement, proving that a humane and psychological approach is more effective in getting along with animals.

More than three decades later, he will be hosting a KHTS Radio show where listeners can tune in for training tips, as well as call Ritt with any questions.

“I’ll be talking about anything and everything dogs,” said Ritt.
