The first half of the concert began with Savannah Burrows and the West Ranch High School Choir, followed by The Lettermen, who have been playing pop music for nearly 60 years.

“As their (choir) teacher, I was so proud of the musicianship the students brought to their own set, as well as when they sang backup,” said Molly Peters, West Ranch High School choir director. “It was a truly memorable experience for all and we are grateful for the opportunity.”

During the concert, the performing arts center was filled with hundreds of attendees who had the chance to enjoy the original sound of all groups.

“It was a magical evening,” said KHTS Owner Carl Goldman. “Last night’s show was the best Christmas show I’ve ever attended. We heard that line all night as the audience shared their enthusiasm and are continuing to say thank you today.”

The performers also invited the audience to interact with them, receiving handshakes and opportunities to see their favorite artists up close.

“Being able to see Savannah Burrows perform holiday music, original compositions, and personal favorites at the PAC was a special opportunity indeed,” said COC Chancellor Dr. Dianne Van Hook. “The Lettermen Christmas show was a wonderful experience from start to finish.”

In 2016, Burrows won the regional leg of the annual Country Showdown, a national music contest where over 400 radio stations compete to put forth the next big country music act.

Burrows, the winning KHTS contestant for that year, reached the semi-final regional competition in New Mexico.

“It was the best experience of my life opening for and performing with the legendary group The Lettermen,” said Burrows. “It became even more special performing with my high school choir. Performing with my friends made me feel comfortable and secure, and knowing they had my back was so relieving and incredible. It was an honor to sing with The Lettermen and share some Christmas tunes with Santa Clarita, all of which are my family. I love this city and it will always be something I hold near and dear to my heart.”

The Lettermen sound has not changed since their first single in 1961, “The Way You Look Tonight,” officials said. Their popularity throughout the generations has been highlighted through 18 gold albums worldwide and multiple top singles over their 59 years as a band.

“The Lettermen are true legends, with a string of hits and record sales that are amazing,” said Goldman. “Adding our hometown artist, Savannah Burrows, along with the West Ranch Choir, made the evening even more special. We are proud to have produced such a heartwarming and fun event.”
