“So many people still have the correlation of essential oils being more like aromatherapy: maybe they smell nice, maybe they relax you a little bit,” said Beth Phillips, a Santa Clarita doTERRA representative. “But they’re so much more than that.”
As certified pure therapeutic grade products, doTERRA essential oils help the user’s body systems function properly, according to Phillips.
Depending on the oil, doTERRA essential oils can be used topically and sometimes internally to ensure the user receives its full benefit.

“They’re really powerful,” Phillips added.
Santa Clarita residents will have the opportunity to stop by Phillips’ doTERRA booth at the 2015 KHTS Home and Garden Show April 25 and 26 at the Valencia Hyatt, where they can view, smell and sample products firsthand.
“We were there last year and we were super busy. I think you could smell us from around the corner because we were oiling people up,” Phillips said. “I have a lot of my team that’s going to be out there with me and we have our oils to share, so people can come by and experience for themselves.”
Phillips is also set to participate in the first ever free Direct Sales Symposium, which will take place as part of the show April 26 as an opportunity for Santa Clarita residents to learn a variety of ways to legitimately make money from home.
“I’m so excited for this portion of it,” Phillips said. “Direct sales network marketing is kind of new to me; I’ve been doing it almost three years and it has changed so much in the last 10 years. It doesn’t hold the same stigmas that is used to 20 years ago. Our economy has changed.”
For Phillips, becoming a representative for a product she is passionate about has enhanced her life “emotionally, physically and financially.”

“They’re not pyramid schemes,” she added. “There’s a good product set up with a great compensation plan, and they chose to invest that money in consultants that are out there doing the work rather than paying for it to be on a store shelf sitting there.”
