The weather this evening is expected to be in the high 30s, with clouds and a few showers, Sweet said. There will be light winds and even possible thunderstorms.

“There is a storm system centered over coastal waters over Ventura County,” Sweet said. “We are seeing showers and thunderstorms brewing.”

The rain is expected to continue into this evening and through Monday, Sweet said, with it coming to an end Monday evening.

There will be a warming trend with dry conditions by the end of the week, Sweet said.

Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny and Wed. – Fri. the weather will return back to our sunny, warm, clear skies, Sweet said.

Although there has been some wet weather lately, it’s important for residents to still be conscious of their water use, because there is still a severe drought going on, Sweet said.
