The trial for a fatal double shooting in Canyon Country is not likely to take place until at least July, prosecutors said Tuesday.

It is unknown exactly when Michael McGlothan’s trial will begin, said Deputy District Attorney Ani Bailey after a pretrial hearing for the case was continued to June 22.
McGlothan, a 53-year-old Santa Clarita resident, was arrested in June 2015 after leading authorities on a nationwide manhunt.
Get live news updates about Santa Clarita by following KHTS on Facebook and KHTS on TwitterThe manhunt began after McGlothan was identified as the main suspect in a shooting that killed Ledarion Allen Jr., 21, of Lancaster and injured Shatari Shene Cooks, 30, in a Canyon Country apartment about two years ago.
McGlothan was caught less than a month later when he was stopped near a highway toll booth on the New York State Thruway in western New York, according to a statement from the police department’s Buffalo office.
He is being charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.
