Triple Murder Street Racing Suspect Assigned Preliminary Hearing Date

A Whittier man accused of killing three people in a 2016 street racing crash — including two Santa Clarita Valley teens — was assigned a date for a preliminary hearing.

Dealio Lockhart, 38, is charged with three counts of second-degree murder and four counts of reckless driving causing injury, which killed Santa Clarita residents and College of the Canyons students Brian Lewandowski, 18, and Michelle Littlefield, 19, as well as UPS driver Scott Treadway, 52, according to officials.  

On Feb. 27, 2016, Lockhart was allegedly racing his Dodge Challenger with another vehicle around midnight when the incident involving more than 10 cars occurred near the City of Commerce.

In addition to the three fatalities, four others were seriously injured: two men in a vehicle, and a man and a woman in separate cars.

Lockhart faces life in prison if convicted, according to officials.

He is currently being held at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles with bail set at $6.2 million.

He is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 8, 2019 for a preliminary hearing.

  1. I think about these 2 teens a lot and how sad it is how they died. They had just spent time at Disneyland and were on their way home. I can’t believe it’s almost 3 years later and the putz that caused their death is just now having a preliminary hearing?? Why? What is wrong with the system? This is awful.

  2. The suspect was a police officer why don’t the publish that?
