“We were dispatched to a report of a structure fire on the 28000 block of Winterdale Drive, between Deep Creek Drive and Anne Freda Drive,” said Inspector Rick Flores of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Two patients were transferred to the hospital, he said. One person had second-degree burns, and a second person suffered smoke inhalation in the Canyon Country house fire.

Fire officials were called to the scene at 11:45 p.m. Monday, Flores said, to a house that was “fully involved,” with flames throughout the house.

Fire was on scene at 11:51 p.m., and the fire was reported knocked down at 12:08 a.m. Tuesday, he said.

A report on the cause or extent of the damage was not yet available, according to officials.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation, Flores said.
