If its unlawful for anybody to alter the mountains a national monument , why is it ok for the state to construct a major earth moving, landscape changing project.. i for one do not want to see the forest destroyed for a project that doesn’t make any sense anyway . seriously ,how many people commute from LA to San Francisco daily or even weekly? Are you willing to give up the mountain range for a doomed project?
What happens to a train when it imacts at high speed a deer, mountain lion, bear or other animal that will certainly take refuge inside a nice dark tunnel like that? How many of these animals will it kill? How much damage will it cause to the train? I vote no.

I’m glad they have asked for our opinion, mine is a resounding..NO! Let’s all let them know, loudly, that this is NOT what we want.
