UFC Gym Santa Clarita recently installed an official 18-foot boxing ring that is allowing its  members to channel their favorite professional boxers during their workouts.

Not only can members take advantage of this brand new feature, they can also combine it with other mixed martial arts disciplines for an elite training experience. 

“Your first time can be quite thrilling and quite nerve-wracking at the same time,” said Michael Lindsay, owner of UFC Gym Santa Clarita.

Lindsay described the gym as “predominantly a family fitness center using mixed martial arts, boxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu” which presents members with a diverse selection of training opportunities.

For those looking for an introduction to boxing, the Santa Clarita gym offers an experienced group of elite trainers, including Coach Angelo, a former professional boxer who served as Oscar De La Hoya’s sparring partner for two years before bringing his expertise to UFC Gym Santa Clarita.

The coaches at UFC Gym Santa Clarita have diverse and specialized backgrounds, according to Lindsay, who noted members won’t find a coach that have only completed a weekend accreditation.

“Depending on how your body is feeling or how your mood is, you can pick and choose your workout,” Lindsay said. “Some days you might push yourself a little bit harder with … a more challenging class, other days you might step back.”
