A 1-acre brush fire was reported late Thursday morning by the off ramp of state route 14 north and Sierra Highway.

The fire was first reported at around 11:48 a.m. before firefighters arrived at 11:54 a.m. Santa Clarita residents had been reporting sights of smoke as far away as Sand Canyon before the fire was then completely put out by 12:55 p.m.
The fire did not reach more than 1 acre, according to fire officials. No injuries or damaged structures have been reported.
The cause of the brush fire has yet to be released.
