Firefighters extinguished a Valencia attic fire in just under 20 minutes Tuesday, resulting in no injuries, but the loss of a few personal items.

Firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 21600 block of Bidwell Lane at 2:16 p.m., about seven minutes after the orginial call was received. Fire officials called knockdown by 2:35 p.m.
Neighbors said they came out after hearing the sirens ring throughout their neighborhood.
“When you hear all the sirens and stuff around, and you see all the fire engines coming in the neighborhood,” said Austin Currado, 16, who lives in the neighborhood, “I always get curious to see where they’re going.”
Neighbors mentioned seeing several burned articles of clothing thrown out of the house by firefighters.
“I don’t think there was a huge amount of damage,” said Vanessa Lozano, a spokeswoman for Los angeles County Fire, based on reports from fire officials on scene.
No injuries were reported either, she said.
