Valencia Man Killed After Driving Off Embankment In Castaic Identified

A Valencia man who was killed in a crash on Ridge Route Road in Castaic Wednesday has been identified.

Taylor Brand, 20, from Valencia was killed after driving off an embankment, said Sarah Ardalani, a spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner Coroner’s Office.

Around 4:15 p.m., a vehicle went off the side of Ridge Route Road and fell approximately 400 feet, according to officials.

Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department declared Brand dead on arrival.

However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work.
