The Santa Clarita Valley community is being asked to help in locating William John Cierzan, a Six Flags Magic Mountain employee who seems to have disappeared without notifying family members..

Cierzan is the third missing person reported in the area recently, following San Diego resident Jake Roberson, whose car was found abandoned on the northbound Interstate 5 freeway, and Chelsea Vannoy of Valencia, who has not been heard from by family in several weeks.

Anyone with information regarding a missing person can contact the Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide/Missing Person’s Bureau at 323-890-5500.

Past statistics indicate station officials receive an average of more than one such report every day.

Two other reports of non-area residents in missing persons reports last seen in the SCV — one involving a woman who was found in the Antelope Valley, and a separate report from the family of a San Diego man, were also reported this past week.

Officials from the San Diego Police Department ask that anyone with information about Jake Roberson’s whereabouts call them at 619-531-2000 or 858-484-3154.

If you prefer to provide information anonymously, you may call “Crime Stoppers” by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477) or by using the Crime Stoppers website.

Approximately 368 missing persons reports were reported in the Santa Clarita Valley in 2012, according to figures provided by the SCV Sheriff’s Station, which included 192 men and 176 women.

More than three dozen residents were reported missing multiple times, and of those, 25 people were reported missing two times; 10 people were reported missing multiple times; two people were reported missing five times and one person was reported missing six times, all within a 12-month period.

  1. Sorry he is missing, but just a name doesn’t tell, age, race, hair color, car identification etc. pretty vague article.

  2. I hope this is not an indication of human trafficking in Santa Clarita!

  3. Photo? How are we supposed to know if we see him?
