Christopher Ronald Parry, 35, of Oak View, was killed when the scooter he was riding in was rear-ended by Yolanda Hernandez, of Santa Paula.

The front of Hernandez’s vehicle struck the rear of Parry’s scooter, causing him to be ejected onto and over the vehicle.

He sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision, and was declared dead at the scene.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected as factors at this time. The cause is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made.

Parry was reportedly a first-responder with AMR Ventura County.

AMR officials did not immediately respond to a request to verify his employment.
