“We are thrilled to host this magical annual holiday event for all Southern Californians to enjoy,” said park President Bonnie Sherman Weber. “In its third year, not only are we bringing back the unique six flags holiday traditions our guests have come to love, but we extended the run and are adding more holiday themed areas and entertainment they will treasure for years to come.”

Decorated with over 1 million lights, “Holiday in the Park” includes six holiday-themed areas, and invites guests to the new Gleampunk District and Santa’s Star Spangled Plaza, park officials said.

The Gleampunk District will welcome guests to experience the sights and sounds of wintertime during the industrial revolution in the 19th century, and will also be home to acrobatic holiday show.

Santa’s Star Spangled Plaza will feature 10-foot tall toy soldiers on stilts and a largely lit Christmas tree. The plaza is also the home of the new virtual reality holiday experience on the New Revolution coaster. Riders will soon be able to experience “Santa’s Wild Sleigh Ride” and ride on Santa’s sleigh in a video game-like adventure as ride on the roller coaster with virtual reality eyewear.Six Flags Holiday

Six Flags Magic Mountain will soon be celebrating “Holiday in the Park” for an extended run of 28 nights beginning beginning Saturday, Nov. 19 and be open only on weekends through Sunday, Nov. 27. The park will then be open daily on Thursday, Dec. 17 through Sunday, Jan. 1, excluding Christmas day. The holiday festivities will begin each operating day at 5 p.m. with falling snow.

“With well over 1 million lights,” said Weber, “snowfall around the park, new and exciting holiday entertainment, and many delicious one-of-a-kind seasonal treats, we’re proud to present our biggest winter spectacular yet!”
