Wolf Creek Brewery To Host Fifth Annual Chili Cookoff Tonight

Supporting the Spotlight Arts Center and Straightening Reins, the fifth annual SCV Charity Chili Cookoff is taking place Thursday night at Wolf Creek.

The brewers are hosting the event, which is expected to draw hundreds in supports of the local nonprofit organizations, one of which supports the arts, the other aimed at mental health in the community.

Dozens of chilis are offered, as well as judged by guests and a panel of judges.

General admission prices for the cookoff are $25, and in addition to more than three dozens chilis, there will be live music and a mechanical bull.

SRD Straightening Reins does community outreach services for the Los Angeles area, hoping to provide educational services to youth and their families.

The other beneficiary, Spotlight Arts Center, wishes to promote visual and performing art in order to foster individual growth of members.

The event is being co-sponsored by Whitening Lightning and Gerard Cosmetics, which have been involved since the cookoff’s inception.
