Woman Hit, Killed By Metrolink Train Identified

The woman who was killed after being struck by a Metrolink train Thursday morning has been identified.

Susan Riley, 53, of Santa Clarita was killed after being struck by the train, said Lt. Smith, with the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner Coroner’s Office.

The woman was hit by the train around 7:00 a.m. Thursday.

It appears that this was an accident, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“A female adult reportedly was crossing tracks and dropped an item and went to retrieve the item when she was struck by the train,” said a tweet from the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.

The investigation is still ongoing, and if anyone has information about the train accident call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.
