A woman allegedly stabbed her friend Saturday night after using an unknown drug in Stevenson Ranch.

Sheriff’s deputies received the call around 10 p.m., in an apartment complex off Silver Aspen Way in Stevenson Ranch.

“It looked like they were intoxicated,” said Lt. Chuck Becerra, who explained the victim and attacker were friends having a get-together.

The victim allegedly walked out of the apartment and discovered a stab wound which prompted him to call and wait for emergency responders in the parking lot.

A witness at the scene, as well as the injured man, pointed deputies to the apartment he had just left.

“She was inside,” Becerra said. “We had to transport the suspect to the hospital. Whatever she ingested was causing her to foam at the mouth.”

The woman has since been released as of Sunday, and was booked under charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
