Flowing out of an 18-wheeler, the diesel fuel spilled out onto the truck scales and resulted in a Hazardous Materials team from the Los Angeles County Fire Department to be called to the scene.

After using a special chemical to clean up the run-off, HazMat was able to prevent the fuel from flowing into a nearby storm drain, according to LACoFD Inspector Gustavo Medina.

The spill was first reported at approximately 12:30 a.m. and was cleaned up by around 1:55 a.m., according to officials.
