Infant Airlifted To Hospital After Head Injury

A one-year-old child was airlifted to a local hospital Monday morning after striking their head, officials said.

Emergency dispatchers received a call about the child at approximately 8:40 a.m.

“Somebody injured their head,” said a Los Angeles County Fire Department official. “There was no response.”

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station assisted medical responders in transporting the infant to Plum Canyon Elementary, where a helicopter was waiting.

They had an airlift from a school,” said a LACoFD official.

The child is expected to be okay, according to a social media post by the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
