“The cause is not known, yet,” said Stephanie English, L.A. County Fire Department spokeswoman. “It is possible that a transformer is down, but they are investigating it further.”

“Fire engines were on scene within about five minutes”, she added.

Several fire stations were called onto the scene, including Station 73, 76, 124 and 149.

“No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported,” English said.

“The fire is in the mop-up phases, which is expected to take another hour or so”, she said.
