ImageLos Angeles County Public Works officials are planning two sets of road closures in the coming days.

  • All Northbound I-5 lanes will be closing between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Thursday and Friday evenings.

During this closure, traffic will use a detour that includes taking the 126 west, Commerce Center Drive, and Henry Mayo Drive, then continuing north on the Old Rd to the Lake Hughes on-ramp.

The closures will allow workers to construct a new bridge on Hasley Canyon Road, over the I-5.

A separate road project is underway on the east side of Santa Clarita, on Little Tujunga Road, and it too will bring road closures.

[view:node_ad=5]Major damage was sustained by the roadway due to a landslide during this year’s rains.

11 weeks of construction on the roadway will begin August 19th near the Wildlife Way Station.

For the first 5 weeks, traffic will be allowed on the roadway; however delays of up to 15 minutes are predicted.

During the final phase of construction, expected to be from September 23rd to November 4th, Little Tujunga Rd. will be fully closed to traffic.

Access to the Wildlife Way Station’s south gate will be available at all times, but with some delays.
