Biography of Cheryl Gray:
Cheryl Gray moved with her two daughters to Newhall in 1984 to provide them with wonderful schools and a small rural close knit community. Being a single mother of a 14- and 4-year-old, she didn’t have much time to volunteer other than in her daughters’ schools. But in 1988, she became active in the SCV Boys’ & Girls’ Club annual auction. That initial step into community volunteering led to service in organizations such as the American Heart Association, Senior Center, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital and the Zonta Club.
Cheryl is always available to assist in transporting community members who need rides to doctor appointments, community events, meetings, etc. She has donated money and items to many organizations for their fundraising efforts. Cheryl and her husband Ralph have been married since 1999. Between them they have her two daughters, his two sons and nine grandchildren. In her spare time, Cheryl loves to visit with her children and grandbabies, go to the theatre and travel.
