A 3.2-magnitude earthquake shook the Santa Clarita Valley on Friday at 3:39:10 a.m.
It was centered in the mountains directly between Newhall and Pacoima – about 4 miles southeast of Newhall.
The quake was extremely shallow, occurring right at the earth’s surface.
It was followed an hour later by a 2.1-magnitude aftershock, and an hour after that, by a tremor measuring 1.6.
