The U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed that a magnitude 4.7 earthquake occurred at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, May 17th near the city of Inglewood, located in the area surrounding Los Angeles International Airport. Some Santa Clarita residents reported feeling some shaking from the initial earthquake.
A smaller aftershock occurred a few moments later.
While some damage was reported, no major problems or injuries resulted from the shaking.
