Suicide ruled out in Newhall resident’s death.
[view:node_ad=5]The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau has re-opened an investigation regarding the death of former Santa Clarita resident Betty Brazil.
The case goes back to September 2, 1966, when Brazil was found dead in her car in the city of Lakewood. She suffered from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Not long ago, Homicide Detectives and the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office conducted a new investigation into her death, and determined that it was not a suicide.
This discovery came in conjunction with Brazil’s family uncovering additional details regarding the case.
Now, the official investigation into her potential murder has been re-opened and detectives are following up on new leads. One of the new leads reportedly involves an interview with a witness who, after over 40 years of knowing, revealed new information about the case.
