A Hundred Seniors Get Goodie Bags

Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita assembled 100 bags for local seniors

In the spirit of Christmas, the Soroptimist club stuffed, packed, and shipped off 100 goodie bags to some needy local seniors.

The SCV Senior Center, which delivers meals to about 300 seniors, took the bags in and distributed them to 100 of the elderly.  Inside the bags were many different things, such as toiletries, personal items and stuffed animals.

The Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita responds to all world disasters, funds local issues and supports individual women and girls through grants for education. In the international area they assist in the building of schools and providing educational materials and responding the disasters.

Locally, they give grants to outstanding female students to help with their continuing education and increase their self esteem by acknowledging their accomplishments, along with their mission of helping women and girls to achieve the best for their lives.
