We’ve checked around and can unequivocally verify that there is simply no better way to welcome the hope and possibilities of 2011 than jumping into a pool of unheated water with several dozen of your neighbors.
Fortunately, the City of Santa Clarita is opening said frigid plunge at 8:45 a.m. for the 5th annual Glacier Slide Polar Bear Swim on January 1 at the City’s Aquatic Center Waterslide Pool. For $3, swimmers can plunge into the icy pool, and start the year off with this Santa Clarita tradition.
