Abandoned Black Briefcase Raises Suspicions At Metrolink

photoThe suspicions of a security officer at the Santa Clarita Metrolink station were raised when he discovered an abandoned black briefcase around 11 a.m.

Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the scene and cordoned off the parking lot and access to the upper train deck with yellow tape. Patrol vehicles blocked traffic at the Soledad Canyon Road entrances to the Metrolink

According to deputies a K-9 was brought in to “sniff” the briefcase. After the dog determined there were no explosives inside the briefcase was opened.
