Men found with loaded gun, drugs
Deputies Griffy and Sweetland arrested two men early Tuesday morning on several felony charges after conducting a traffic stop near Camp Plenty Road and Soledad Canyon Road and reportedly finding a loaded gun and methamphetamine.
Deputies report that the driver of the vehicle, MH/22, of Palmdale is an active gang member who is on felony parole for Grand Theft Auto. He was driving without a license and was suspected of being in violation of the terms of his parole. Deputies reportedly found that one of the passengers in the vehicle, MH/25, of Little Rock, who is also an active gang member, was on felony parole for Possession of Narcotics for Sale. A search of that suspect reportedly resulted in the recovery of a loaded concealed handgun in his waistband and methamphetamine. Both suspects were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

The driver faces potential felony charges of Parole Violation and Participating in a Criminal Street Gang. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of Driving Without a License. The passenger faces potential felony charges of being a Convicted Narcotic Offender in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of an Unregistered Loaded Firearm, Possession of a Loaded Firearm with Narcotics, Possession of a Concealed Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Parole Violation and Participating in a Criminal Street Gang. Both are being held without bail.
A third male in the car was released without charges and two juvenile female passengers were cited for curfew violations and were later released to their parents.
