Six Suspects arrested after casing Neighborhood.
The Sheriff’s Department is reporting that six suspects were arrested on drug and burglary related charges early Saturday morning after alert Santa Clarita residents called the station about a suspicious vehicle.
An off-duty police officer also called in, and proceeded to follow the vehicle after seeing them tamper with a parked vehicle.
Deputies arrived and were able to detain the suspects on Soledad Canyon Road.
There, Deputies say that they recovered “several electronic items, purses and financial documents believed to be stolen from vehicles in the Canyon Country area.”
The suspects also reportedly had a large quantity of marijuana and materials consistent with the sales of the drug.
The suspects, MH/18, MH/21, MH/21, MH/17, MW/17, MH/16, all residents of Lancaster and Palmdale, were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on felony Burglary charges and some of them face felony Possession of Marijuana for Sales charges.
The investigation is ongoing and is being handled by detectives of the station's Burglary and Theft Team and Narcotics Section.
