Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials are reporting that all inmates at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic are accounted for, after the morning wristband count.
At about 8:00 a.m. Friday, several reports were called into the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s station about a possible sighting of a prisoner. They decribed spotting an individual wearing what appeared to be a blue prison jumpsuit.
Pitchess was immediately contacted and a full count ensued. By 9:00 the Center had accounted for all prisoners.
It is possible that the individual seen may have been wearing hospital scrubs, which resemble a prison jumpsuit. That information was not confirmed, however.
