A man reportedly “bleeding profusely from the head” was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital this afternoon after he was found near the 7-Eleven convenience store at Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon Road.

Deputies are looking for anyone who might have information about the incident in the area behind the store and have expanded their search to include the riverbed near the Canyon Country Post Office Center, the scene of a fatal shooting on Halloween.

Fire officials reported that a male adult was transported from the scene, but it was before contact was made with deputies. The circumstances surrounding the alleged stabbing are currently unknown.
