Amgen Tour To Announce Schedule Tuesday For Next Year’s Race

Amgen Tour of California officials will be announcing their starting and stopping locations Tuesday at 1 p.m. for next year’s big race.

Tour and city officials said they are remaining tight-lipped until the news conference, but you can click here to follow a live stream of the announcement.

City officials are also expected to be making an announcement at the same time, so stay tuned to KHTS or check out our online stream to find out if the two are related. 

The tour generally takes place in May, drawing thousands to the area, which can be a big boon to city tourism.

The Amgen Tour of California professional cycling race draws more than 2 million spectators during eight-day competition, according to the tour’s website.

The race is split up into several stages, with the starting and finishing of each stage as a spectator event.
