The Boy Scouts of America will be
conducting a food drive associated with this walk.  They will distribute 4,000 bags to homes
throughout the SCV and will return to pick up the donations.

CROP (Communities Reaching Out to
People) is a world-wide organization that networks with partner agencies in
more than 80 countries to help the hungry throughout the world.  In addition a percentage of funds benefit
local agencies to help meet the needs of the hungry here in the SCV.  Local agencies benefiting from this year's
walk include: The Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry, The Santa Clarita Valley
Homeless Shelter and The Church of Hope Food Pantry.

More than $120,000 has been raised
by this project since 1997.   Thrivent
Financial for Lutherans is matching up to $2,500 of the money raised for the
walk.

For more information regarding
participating as a walker or corporate sponsor please contact George McLeary at
