The City of Santa Clarita has attemtped to annex the Valencia Commerce Center and property in Lyon Canyon, which has stirred controversy….

On Thursday, Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich announced his opposition to the city’s annexation attempt, as the proposed development would be much more dense than county regulations allow.  Apparently, this would put the project in direct conflict with the cooperative planning process between the county of Los Angeles and the city of Santa Clarita.
