Antonovich Has Idea About Castaic High School

Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has initiated discussions with representatives from Newhall Land and the William S. Hart Union School District to consider utilizing a portion of a 450-acre parcel on the Castaic Mesa to build a much-needed High School.

"Given the need to provide a new high school for our Castaic community, it is vital that we thoroughly consider all aspects of this property to determine its feasibility as a site for a new school," said Supervisor Antonovich.  "If this site moves forward, environmental analysis and State approval would be required.   My office will continue to work with Newhall Land, other property owners, the School District and the State to ensure that a high school project for Castaic remains a top priority."

The Castaic Mesa parcel is adjacent to Lake Hughes Road between Castaic Lake and the County Animal Shelter.
